I've been working out for years, and if you asked me why, I'd give you the honest answer: it's my escape. When life gets hard, when the day's beaten you down, the gym is where I go to reset. I know I'm not the only one who feels that way.

Every workout shirt on the market seemed to say the same thing — heavy, aggressive, grind-till-you-break. I wanted something different. Something that still said strength, but felt lighter. So I built Tropical Iron around a tropical escape mindset — that feeling of getting away, even while you're grinding through a set. That's where the tiki warrior came from: strength, but with open arms. Welcoming, not intimidating.

Wherever you are, Stay Dedicated. That's the part that actually follows me. When I travel, one of the first things I do is find a place to train — because dedication doesn't take the day off just because I'm somewhere new. Commercial gym, garage, beach — the location doesn't matter. The dedication does.

I'm 60 now, and I still train. Not because I have to — because it's become a way of life. These photos are part of that journey: the struggles, the setbacks, the years of showing up anyway. They're a reminder that anything worth doing takes hard work, and it's never too late to keep building yourself into who you want to be.
